A service for leasing child first aid supplies is available in Kamchatka.
In the Kamchatka region, families now have access to a unique service that offers rental points for childcare items. These points, which are based in nine social service organizations, were established to provide essential goods for young children.
The rental service, which started operating in 2021, has seen a significant usage. In 2024 alone, 114 families took advantage of this service. The assortment of items in these rental points includes a variety of children's goods, catering to the needs of families with children of all ages.
One of the most appealing aspects of this service is that it is provided free of charge for families in need. However, other categories of families can use the rental points for childcare items on a paid basis.
To qualify for the free service, families must meet certain criteria. These include families admitted to a crisis center for women and children who have experienced abuse, non-working pensioners and disabled persons who are parents of children under the age of three, and families with children with disabilities.
Furthermore, large and foster families with an average income below the regional average are eligible for a 50% discount on the rental service.
As of 2024, there were 14 rental points operating in the Kamchatka region. These points are strategically located in various districts, including Yelizovo, Vilyuchinsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Ust-Bolsheretsky, Milkovsky, Olyutorsky, and Sobolevsky districts. The rental points were opened between 2021 and 2023.
