Active and Productive Collaboration: Dynamic Coworking Environments
Industrious Brings a Unique Blend of Global Efficiency and Local Flair to Berlin's Coworking Scene
Industrious, a globally recognised coworking brand, has made its mark in Berlin with the opening of its second space, BEAM, in the heart of the city. Located in Schicklerhaus, a former Marxist workers' school, BEAM is designed to embody the city's unique combination of creative chaos and quiet conviction.
BEAM offers a unique blend of global operational excellence and a deeply local mindset, tailored to the neighbourhood and the local Berlin community. This approach creates a workplace culture that feels authentic and welcoming, with natural social events like casual Friday drinks that aren't forced.
Key unique features and benefits at BEAM include a focus on member happiness, flexible offerings, and a wide range of social and practical amenities. Memberships start at €249 for hot desks, with options for dedicated offices (€1,700+) and fully customized enterprise suites for larger teams. The space covers approximately 3,000 sqm and includes a quiet library, a barista café, a lounge, a conference hub, and is designed like a city square, not an office block.
The hardware (architecture) and the software (people, service, culture) at BEAM are designed to align and create something special. Whiteboards are not a focus at Industrious, with the emphasis on storytelling instead of listing features. Over 65% of the space at BEAM is dedicated to '30-second workspaces' for focus, connection, and inspiration.
Industrious takes work seriously, philosophically and practically, and believes the office environment has a deep impact on people's lives. The company caters to individuals and companies who value human interaction and high performance. The Industrious logo features a bee, symbolizing purposeful work and the company's vibe of working hard with meaning.
Events at BEAM include sake tastings, startup bootcamps, charity pop-ups, lunch & learns, and more. No dedicated gardener is currently employed at BEAM, but there are plant lovers on staff. The company aims to complement, not compete with, working from home or cafes, focusing on member happiness and a positive work experience.
