Aicher Holzbau Honored for Environmental, Climate Protection Commitment
The Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact, a collaborative initiative between the Bavarian State Government, vbw, BIHK, and BHT, has honoured Aicher Holzbau GmbH for its outstanding commitment to operational environmental and climate protection. Michael Aicher, the managing director, received the certificate from State Parliament member Tanja Schweiger and Bruno Schleinkofer, the second mayor of Regenstauf.
Aicher Holzbau GmbH, founded in 1983 and now a leading timber construction company, has previously received this recognition in 2011. The company's dedication to using dry wood and wood-based materials for durability and effective building protection serves as a model project for environmental and climate protection. The pact, with about 1,500 participating companies and institutions, aims to motivate others by showcasing good examples like Aicher Holzbau. Notable participants include Lessmann from Oettingen and Gut Wöllried in Rottendorf, recognised for their sustainable actions. The award is valid for three years and entitles the use of the official logo 'Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact'.
