Air Astana Group has improved facilities for mothers and infants in three airport locations.

Let's fly with kids in comfort 🌍

To celebrate Children's Day and the 90th anniversary of Nursultan International Airport, Air Astana and their budget subsidiary FlyArystan have pulled out all the stops with state-of-the-art mother and child rooms. You'll find this at airports across Kazakhstan's major transport hubs including Shymkent and Atyrau 🛬.

Air Astana's VP of Corporate Communications, Bella Tormysheva, shares her excitement, "Our mother and child rooms aim to make travel with kids stress-free and entertaining. We've got Lego tables, easels, musical toys, and building blocks to keep those little minds engaged while allowing parents peace of mind". 🎨🧰

Each room is brimming with essentials—cribs, changing tables, microwaves, and sanitization areas for parents to tend to their babies' needs. Best of all, these rooms are open 24/7, free of charge, and designed for children under 5–7 years old, accompanied by one adult 👶👩‍👧.

You'll spot five of these wonderlands at Nursultan International Airport spread across Terminal 1 (on 2nd and 3rd floors) and Terminal 2 (on the 2nd floor). The common zone of Terminal 2 even houses an extra room just for families 🏠. In Shymkent Airport, the mother and child room resides in the common zone on the 1st floor, while Atyrau airport offers it on the 2nd floor near the Air Astana office.

As Air Astana turns 19 and FlyArystan hits the “big 2”, the airline warmly embraces its philanthropic missions focused on partnering with charities, community initiatives, employee volunteer work, and supporting disadvantaged groups, such as sick children and WWII veterans ❤️. Their motto, “One airline, two brands,” underscores their commitment to delivering high-quality passenger service, safety, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
