LG Unveils Energy-Efficient Refrigerator Lineup at IFA 2025
LG Electronics has unveiled a new lineup of refrigerators designed for the European market, showcasing them at IFA 2025. The new lineup, which includes French door and bottom-freezer models, is designed to cater to European housing environments and lifestyles.
The new refrigerators are highly energy-efficient, with the bottom-freezer model exceeding the European Union's highest energy rating (A) and the French door model earning an A rating. LG achieved this energy efficiency through optimized insulation design and AI-based features that reduce electricity consumption.
One of the key features of the new lineup is the adjustable shelving and flexible compartments in the bottom-freezer series, which are designed to maximize usable space. Additional accessories such as the Movable Bucket, My Box, and Mini Door Basket can be repositioned for convenience or to free up space. The new bottom-freezer series also combines adjustable and retractable shelves for tailored organization, with the Adjustable Shelf offering seven height settings.
The new French door model features a Thin Door design with an ice and water dispenser, deeper shelves that improve internal storage capacity, and an optimized basket design to reduce the risk of bottles tipping over. The Ultra Slim In-Door Ice Maker saves storage space while delivering a steady supply of ice.
The new French door model also includes AI-powered features such as AI Fresh and AI Saving Mode, designed to improve convenience, efficiency, and energy savings. Soft Closing Doors ensure smoother and quieter operation.
The lineup also features technologies like Linear Cooling, Door Cooling+, and Fresh Converter+ for maintaining food freshness. The refrigerators embody LG's MAX concept, focusing on maximizing space efficiency and food freshness.
LG's president of Home Appliance Solution Company, Lyu Jae-cheol, commented on the new lineup, stating that they are designed to meet the needs of European consumers who value energy efficiency, convenience, and spacious storage. The new lineup is expected to make a significant impact in the European market.
