The annual test room judging period for our website Awards is underway, and we're excited to share some of the products that are being put through their paces. This year, we have a diverse range of audio and TV products from renowned brands such as Fell Audio, Samsung, Panasonic, KEF, NAD, Marshall, Eversolo, Focal, and Ruark Audio.

Let's start with Fell Audio, a UK-based company that has two products in for testing: the Fell Amp integrated amplifier and the Fell Disc CD player. Both products are designed and built in the UK, and they feature ESS Sabre DACs, offering high-quality digital-to-analog conversion.

The Fell Amp amplifier boasts 89 watts per channel of Class D amplification, Bluetooth 5.0 streaming, and an ESS Sabre DAC, making it a versatile choice for music lovers. The Fell Disc CD player, priced competitively at £499, is a great addition for those who still enjoy the traditional CD format.

Moving on to Samsung, their flagship TV for 2025, the Z95B, has been received for testing in a 65-inch screen size. This model, like the Sony Bravia 8 II, features a QD-OLED panel and promises to be Samsung's brightest OLED TV yet, with a reported 30% increase in brightness compared to last year's models, reaching a peak brightness of 2000 nits.

Panasonic's flagship TV for 2025, the Z95B, has also been received for testing. This TV is part of a KEF Q Meta Series surround sound speaker package, which includes the Concerto Meta standmount speakers, Q4 Meta on-wall surrounds, Q6 Meta centre speaker, and Kube 12 MIE subwoofer.

KEF's Q Meta speaker package promises improved acoustic performance, thanks to the brand's 12th-generation Uni-Q driver array and innovative Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) for the first time. MAT is a complex, maze-like structure that sits behind the tweeter dome and absorbs 99% of unwanted high-frequency sound, resulting in a cleaner, more detailed sound.

Ruark Audio's MR1 Mk3 powered speakers have been updated with a Class D amplifier, a new 8.5cm mid/bass driver, and the inclusion of a moving magnet phono stage and a USB-C input. These updates promise deeper bass, greater control, and power for improved acoustic performance.

Lastly, the NAD C 3050 amplifier, originally launched as a limited edition, is now fully available. This amplifier combines vintage design with modern technology, featuring HybridDigital UcD technology and a 32-bit/384kHz DAC. It offers extensive streaming options via Wi-Fi and Ethernet, including UPnP, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz, Amazon Music Ultra HD, Deezer, and internet radio. The NAD C 3050 amplifier can be upgraded to a streaming amplifier by adding a MDC2 Blu-OS module.

Stay tuned for our reviews of these products and more, as we continue to test and evaluate the latest offerings in the world of audio and TV technology.
