August sees the intensification of Rhön-Harmonic festival held in Trabelsdorf, neighboring Bamberg
Rhön Harmonica Festival to Take Place in Trabelsdorf, August 2025
The historic Schlossplatz in Trabelsdorf, Upper Franconia, will be transformed into a vibrant stage dedicated to the harmonica and traditional folk music for the Rhön Harmonica Festival. Scheduled from August 8 to 10, 2025, this unique event promises an immersive and festive atmosphere centered entirely around the harmonica tradition.
Adrian Kehr, a 39-year-old world record holder in harmonica playing and the festival's initiator, started the Rhön Harmonica Festival three years ago in Poppenhausen, Rhön. Kehr moved to Trabelsdorf about two years ago and has been successful in teaching harmonica to many Upper Franconians.
The festival will feature a diverse lineup of events, including the longest harmonica mile in the world, live concerts by industry superstars, and the 1st German Harmonica Competition. On August 9, 2025, the harmonica mile will take place in the castle park of Trabelsdorf, from 11 am to 5 pm, with free admission. The festival's youth afternoon on August 8, 2025, will take place from 3 to 5 pm, featuring young talents and admission is free as well.
Maddabrasska will perform a live concert at the festival on August 8, 2025, starting at 7 pm, followed by Die Draufgänger at 9 pm. On August 9, Die Lungauer will take the stage, starting at 7 pm. Tom & Basti, known for their hit "Nix Amore", will perform on August 10, 2025. The Pagger Buam will crown the first Trabelsdorf edition of the Rhoen Harmonica Festival on August 10, 2025.
Fabian Hollet, known from Radio Bamberg's morning show "Perfekt geweckt", will host the entire festival. The event is expected to attract thousands of fans, including those from the Rhön region.

Day tickets for the festival are priced at 25 Euro for Friday, 15 Euro for Saturday and Sunday, and a weekend ticket costs 49.90 Euro.
