Bustling Rödinghausen Fruit Festival Celebration

Get ready for a delightful weekend as the annual Gut Rodinghausen Fruit Festival returns on September 20th and 21st! This family-friendly event, held at the picturesque Gutshof of Gut Rodinghausen (Fischkuhle 15), promises a cornucopia of activities, food, music, and art for all ages.

The festival kicks off with a variety of stencil printing stations, designed by local artist Sonja Heller, where you can create your own nature-inspired motifs. For the little ones, there's a special craft program called "Art in the Fruit Box" on Saturday at 3 pm, open to children aged four and above. Younger children between the ages of six and ten, as well as those aged four to six accompanied by their parents or grandparents, are warmly welcomed. Prior registration for this program is required by phone or email.

As for the taste buds, there's an array of delicious offerings to indulge in. Artisanal fruit ice cream from the ice cream manufactory Nino & Sarah will be available throughout the festival. For those craving savory treats, Kampi's BBQ will serve Crispy Chicken Buns with BBQ fruit sauce, grilled and curry sausage, fries, and fruit with homemade chocolate sauce. On Sunday, the Bieberschlümpfe Lendringsen will take over Kampi's BBQ, offering homemade potato pancakes with apple sauce and grilled and curry sausage.

The Obst Imkerei will be present, offering a selection of homemade honey-fruit preparations. For a refreshing break, the day care center "Regenbogenland" will provide various homemade fruit cakes, fruit juices, and non-alcoholic fruit cocktails.

Music lovers can enjoy two concerts during the festival. On Saturday, the "Duo Krause Dellwig" will perform, while on Sunday, the Hemer Orchestra under the direction of Felix Piltz will take the stage. The concerts will feature a mix of traditional, brass and march melodies, Schlager, folk music, rock, and pop hits and evergreens.

For those with a curious mind, there will be bee and blossom quizzes to participate in. The regional center for the Märkischer Kreis Arche Noah Menden will also offer an apple tasting of old, local apple varieties and freshly pressed apple juice.

Last but not least, bananas scattered on the ground by the Mendener artist Helmut Kruse will guide visitors to the fruit festival. Admission to the event is free, and public, free parking spaces are available at Fischkuhle 10, OBO Bettermann at Fischkuhle, and at Tor 4 at Hüingser Ring.

So, mark your calendars for September 20th and 21st, and join us for a weekend filled with fun, food, and festivities at the Gut Rodinghausen Fruit Festival!
