Ca Mau Province Leads Digital Transformation With Circular Farming Model and FPT Partnership

Ca Mau province has made significant strides in digital transformation and innovation. The province recently approved a large-scale, circular farming model for white-leg shrimp, covering 1,500 hectares. Meanwhile, it has signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with FPT Corporation for the next five years.

Ca Mau's progress is evident in its completion of over half of the tasks related to Vietnam's sci-tech and innovation vision by September 6. Post-merger, the province completed 38 out of 65 key tasks scheduled for 2025 within just three months. Between July and September, it completed nearly two-thirds of the 16 tasks assigned to it.

The Ca Mau People's Committee has designated FPT Corporation as a strategic digital transformation partner until 2030. This is part of Ca Mau's effort to forge such partnerships with corporations like Viettel and VNPT. The province hosted a business digital transformation conference in August, attracting over 80 enterprises.

Ca Mau's digital transformation is evident in its high online submission rates for administrative documents (76%) and online payments (86%). The fifth meeting of the Ca Mau Steering Committee highlighted these strong strides in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

Ca Mau's approval of a super-intensive, circular farming model and its partnership with FPT Corporation demonstrate the province's commitment to innovation and digital transformation. With over half of its sci-tech and innovation tasks completed and high online service usage, Ca Mau is well on its way to operating a streamlined two-tier local government model.
