Castle Molsdorf, recognized as the Castle of the Year 2015
In partnership with the Thuringian Castles and Gardens Foundation, a castle museum, under the management of our organization, provides a unique cultural experience in Thuringia. The museum boasts guided tours of grand state rooms, special exhibitions in the tower room, and houses two captivating collections – the estate of local artist Otto Knöpfer and a collection of 20th-century erotic art, primarily consisting of graphics and book art.
Other notable cultural attractions in the region include the Friedenstein Palace and Ducal Park in Gotha, often referred to as the "Baroque Universe" due to its historical significance and diverse museums and collections, such as the art chamber and castle church[1]. Additionally, Stadtschloss Weimar, though currently undergoing renovations, houses masterpieces from various periods, featuring works by Cranach, Caspar David Friedrich, and handicrafts from the Goethe era[4].
Goethe's "Faust" will be the focus of special exhibitions in Weimar in 2025, organized by the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, showcasing different perspectives on the beloved author's work[2]. Although not directly mentioned, these examples provide a glimpse of the rich cultural and historical offerings available in Thuringia.

In the rich cultural landscape of Thuringia, one can further delve into sustainable living and home-and-garden practices at the upcoming "Sustainable Living and Home-Garden Fair" organized by the Thuringian Castles and Gardens Foundation, potentially offering workshops and exhibits on eco-friendly lifestyles. Plus, as a follow-up to the 2025 Faust exhibition in Weimar, the foundation might consider introducing events centered around sustainable lifestyle techniques, aligning with the core values of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar and highlighting the influence of the region's art and heritage on modern, eco-conscious living – a lifestyle not commonly explored in the existing tours and museums throughout Thuringia.
