Christmas Charity Initiative 2025 Commences
Bremen Radio Stations and Children's Aid Association Launch Christmas Fundraising Initiative
Radio stations Bremen One and Bremen Four, in partnership with the German Children's Aid Association, are inviting local clubs, foundations, and private initiatives in Bremen, Bremerhaven, Oldenburg, and surrounding areas to apply for funding as part of their Christmas Wonder action.
From December 2-5, 2025, morning shows on Bremen One and Bremen Four will set up a glass studio on the Bremen Christmas market, where they will fulfill listeners' music requests, linked to donations for the German Children's Aid Association. These donations will support projects in the broadcast area, benefiting children in need across various sectors such as healthy nutrition, education, relaxation, political participation, culture, media literacy, or play and movement.
Non-profit organizations, operational foundations, and private initiatives within the Radio Bremen broadcast area can now submit project proposals for funding consideration. The number of projects to be funded depends on the total amount raised during the campaign.
Jan Weyrauch, Radio Bremen's programming director, expressed delight at the initiative's impact on children in the previous year and welcomed applications from known and new institutions for the 2025 Christmas Wonder. Holger Hofmann, CEO of the German Children's Aid Association, emphasized their commitment to sustainably supporting local organizations and initiatives working for disadvantaged children.
Last year, over 175,000 euros were raised for disadvantaged children in the Radio Bremen broadcast area through the Christmas Wonder action. Funded projects included previous homework help, free meals, sports activities, dance classes, first aid training, and equipment purchases for children with various backgrounds and abilities.

It is recommended that interested organizations check the official websites, social media, and press release sections of Radio Bremen One, Bremen Four, and the German Children's Aid Association for announcements regarding the Christmas Wonder or similar actions.
