For those living in Gerresheim, Grafenberg, Hassels, Himmelgeist, Holthausen, Itter, and Heerdt, Lichtenbroich, Oberkassel, Rath, and Unterrath, the collection is scheduled for Monday, January 13, 2025. Residents in Eller, Garath, Hellerhof, and Lierenfeld should note that their collection day is on Friday, January 19, 2025.
In the districts of Derendorf, Düsseldorf, Hafen, Hamm, Morsenbroich, Unterbilk, Altstadt, Bilk, Carlstadt, Friedrichstadt, Pempelfort, Stadtmitte, Flehe, Golzheim, Lohrick, Niederkassel, Oberbilk, Stockum, Volmerswerth, and Angermund, Kaiserswerth, Kalkum, Lohausen, Reisholz, Wersten, and Wittlaer, the collection is scheduled for the respective dates of January 9, 10, and 14, 2025. The collection for the districts of Benrath, Flingern North/South, Hubbelrath, Knittkuhl, Ludenberg, Unterbach, and Urdenbach is scheduled for Thursday, January 16, 2025.
To ensure an efficient collection process, please place your Christmas trees visibly at the curb for easy collection by Awista's teams. The trees must be free of decorations and not packed in plastic bags. Larger trees should be cut before collection to fit in Awista's vehicles, which can accommodate trees up to two meters in length.
It is important to note that the trees should not be put on the streets before the collection date to avoid blocking pedestrian paths or being blown away. The collection points for Düsseldorf-Flingern Nord and Süd on Thursday, January 9, 2025, are usually designated public spaces or local community collection centers. Residents are advised to check the official Düsseldorf city website or local announcements for the exact locations.
The collection dates and locations for used Christmas trees in Düsseldorf have been carefully planned to ensure a smooth and efficient process for all residents. So, start preparing your trees for collection and help keep our city clean and green!
