In the heart of Solingen, Germany, the cherished tradition of Nikolaussingen is set to return to Walder Stadion this year. Organised by Stadtwerke Solingen (SWS), this event is a moment of calm and contemplation for family and friends, as expressed by Leif Reitis, CEO of SWS.

The event, which includes a project choir, a symphonic wind orchestra, and the singing of Christmas carols by Solingen residents, will take place on a date yet to be announced. Attendees are invited to arrive from 6 pm, with the event beginning at 7 pm sharp.

To ensure the safety of all attendees, an expanded safety concept will be implemented this year. While specific details are not available at this time, events like Nikolaussingen typically involve crowd management plans, increased security personnel, clear emergency evacuation routes, health safety measures, coordination with local authorities, and accessibility accommodations. For precise details, please consult the event's official organisers, the Solingen city administration, or the stadium management directly.

As the evening progresses, attendees can enjoy culinary options, including treats for children, and mulled wine and sausages, available from 6 pm before the singing starts. The Solingen Paladins football team will also be supporting the event this year.

The highlight of the evening will be a visit from Saint Nicholas accompanied by two angels who will give a small gift to all visitors. The lyrics for the carols will be displayed on screens during the event, making it easier for everyone to join in the festive singing.

Tickets for the event can be obtained for free at the box offices or online at www.solingen-live.de and printed out. Due to limited parking options, public transportation is recommended for travel to the event.

As you prepare for this cherished Solingen tradition, remember to leave larger bags at home, as only bags no larger than A4 size will be allowed for safety reasons. We look forward to celebrating this special occasion with you at Walder Stadion.

This year's Nikolaussingen event in Solingen will not only offer a serene atmosphere for family and friends, but also a glimpse into a home-and-garden lifestyle, as attendees can enjoy culinary options and mulled wine before the singing starts. In addition to the traditional Christmas carols and performances, the lifestyle experience will include visits from Saint Nicholas and angels, giving small gifts to all visitors.
