Construction Update Regarding the New Refugee Shelter on Schleifmühlenweg
The city of Arnsberg has announced plans to construct a modern accommodation facility for refugees at the Schleifmühlenweg site. The dilapidated old building at the location will be replaced by this new facility.
Details about the living space, construction time, and other aspects of the project will be provided at a public event scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, at 6 PM at the Jobcenter (Lange Wende 42 in Neheim). Neighbors and other interested parties are cordially invited to attend.
Representatives of the commissioned general contractor and the city's Departments 4 (Urban Development, Building, Environment, Mobility) and 3 (Youth, Family, Social Affairs, Integration, Health) will be present at the event to answer questions.
The new refugee accommodation facility will feature closed residential units, providing residents with an apartment-like stay and more privacy. This is a significant improvement from the current state of the site.
The construction project was initially announced, and further discussions will take place at the public event on Tuesday. This is an opportunity for the community to learn more about the project and voice any concerns or questions they may have.
While the name of the general contractor responsible for the construction is not publicly available at this time, more information may be shared during the event. Stay tuned for updates!
