Dogs will soon be permitted to take a dip at this location.
Wesenberg to Introduce Two New Dog Bathing Spots
The popular vacation destination of Wesenberg, particularly known for its summer appeal, is set to introduce two new dog bathing spots. This move comes in response to the increasing demand for pet-friendly facilities, as more and more vacationers choose to bring their dogs along.
The new dog bathing spots will be located at the Woblitzsee, at the exit of the town towards Neustrelitz, and at the Großer Weißen See. The exact locations within these lakes will be the left side of the beach at the Woblitzsee, approximately 100 meters from the railway embankment, and at the Großer Weißen See, the specific details of which are yet to be disclosed.
Enrico Hackbarth, head of the tourism and economic development department, emphasizes the rising demand for pet-friendly bathing facilities. He states that this demand is a direct result of the growing trend of vacationing with dogs. By providing these new facilities, Wesenberg aims to cater to this demand, making it an even more appealing destination for pet owners.
The new dog bathing spots will be equipped with seating, trash cans, and dog waste bag dispensers. They will also allow both humans and dogs to use the facilities, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all.
The tourism committee of Wesenberg has submitted a resolution proposal for the construction of these bathing facilities to the city council. A meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, September 25, at 7 p.m., during which the city council will discuss the construction of these new dog bathing facilities. However, the name of the representative who will submit the application for the creation of these new areas is yet to be disclosed.
The new dog bathing spots are intended to reduce potential conflicts with other bathers, particularly families with children, as dogs are not allowed in regular bathing spots in Wesenberg. The facilities will be promoted by the tourist information offices of the administration and indicated by signs at the regular bathing spots in Wesenberg.
Existing resources can be used for the equipment of the new dog bathing spots, making this a cost-effective solution for the growing demand for pet-friendly facilities. With these new additions, Wesenberg continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all its visitors, whether human or canine.
