In the heart of a bustling city, a dream penthouse has been transformed into an immersive home cinema, thanks to the expertise of AVA Concept. The project, driven by a client with a technical background and a significantly increased budget, has resulted in a cutting-edge audio-visual system that redefines the cinematic experience.
At the core of this high-performance home cinema lies the acoustic treatment, meticulously designed and executed by Vicoustic. The treatments, often crafted from recycled materials, not only offer effective sound absorption and diffusion but also contribute to the room's aesthetic appeal. The design was based on the team's drawings, resulting in a harmonious blend of function and form. Both the client and the team were impressed with the results.
Equipment selection played a crucial role in the project. The Anthem MRX 1140 AV receiver, renowned for its premium performance and compatibility with the speaker array, was chosen for its ability to deliver exceptional audio. Triad InWall Silver/6 LCR, InWall Silver/4 Surround, InWall Silver/4 Sat, and InCeiling Silver OpenRound speakers were installed for different purposes, ensuring a balanced and immersive soundscape.
The Projecta screen, a 128-inch fixed-frame model, was chosen for its 4K UHD and HDR compatibility, providing a stunning visual experience. The JVC DLA-NZ7 projector was upgraded and installed for better features and performance, ensuring crisp and vibrant images.
The team also integrated lighting fixtures into the Control4 home automation system, allowing for seamless control over the entire home and cinema. Lutron Control lighting was installed as part of the project, offering dimmable and colour-tunable options for a cinematic ambiance.
To enhance the cinematic experience, two Earthquake Sound MKVII-15PIANO-SV-W 15-inch powered subwoofers were installed for high-performance bass. The MadVR Envy Pro processor was included for advanced HDR tone mapping, upscaling, geometry control, and calibration, ensuring a visually stunning viewing experience.
A key part of the project was the close collaboration between AVA Concept and the client. The team worked tirelessly to understand the client's vision and preferences, ensuring the design aligned with their expectations. This client-centered approach extended to the installation process, with the team guiding the client through the project to meet their technical expectations.

The renovation of the house, necessitated by a flood, presented the perfect opportunity to create the home cinema the client had always wanted.
The final touch was the addition of the Control4 Halo remote control, offering ease of control and reliability.
