Invitation to the Fehmarnbelt Days in Lübeck - Experience the Fehmarnbelt Days in Lübeck: A Glimpse into the Future of Baltic Connections

You don't wanna miss out on the largest public festivity coming to the Trave River banks, Lübeck! This June 14 and 15, guests from art, culture, business, and politics will gather to showcase the region's offerings as we gear up for the connection with southern Denmark via the Ostseetunnel.

Celebrating the official inception of the Fehmarnbelt-Days on June 14 (12:00 PM) aboard a floating stage near the Musik- und Kongresshalle, the jamboree will offer panel discussions and performances to light up the stage. Expect an astounding 40 German and Danish initiatives and companies to exhibit their captivating products and services.

If you're up for some intellectual stimulation and industry conversations, schedule your date on June 15 and 16 for the conference. Talks will revolve around infrastructure, sustainable development, and innovation promotion, according to the city of Lübeck.

Since its introduction back in 2012, the Fehmarnbelt-Days have been recurring every two years to foster connections between Northern Germany, Denmark, and southern Sweden. Once the 18-kilometer long road and railway tunnel, linking the German Baltic Sea island of Fehmarn and the Danish island of Lolland, opens in 2029, the regions will be forever intertwined!

This festival, held in the historic city of Lübeck, is your chance to immerse yourself in the richness of the Fehmarnbelt region and strengthen ties with neighboring countries.

Fun fact: Do you know that the region's economic cooperation goes way back to the trading era of the Hanseatic League, which operated through Lübeck around 1400? That's right! Come celebrate and be a part of history in the making at the Fehmarnbelt-Days!

Historical Context: The Hanseatic League, established in the Middle Ages, was a conglomerate of merchant guilds and market towns in Northwest and Central Europe, primarily in the Holy Roman Empire, the Netherlands, and the Baltic region. Lübeck, as one of its major members, played a significant role in the League during its active years (circa 1241 to 1669).

If you're keen on exploring the economic cooperation between Lübeck and neighboring countries that dates back to the Hanseatic League, consider the lifestyle changes that outdoor-living and home-and-garden policies might bring to the Fehmarnbelt community, as the region continues to foster relationships with Denmark and southern Sweden. The employment policy within the Fehmarnbelt region could significantly be impacted by the infrastructure development and innovation promotion, as discussed in the upcoming conference during the Fehmarnbelt-Days.
