Explore Jean Paul's Life and Works in Free Library Tour

The State Library Bamberg invites the public to a free guided tour this Wednesday, exploring the current exhibition on Jean Paul. No registration is needed for the 'Art Break at Lunchtime' event starting at 12:30 PM at the library's entrance in the New Residence, Domplatz 8.

The tour, led by Dr. Stefan Knoch, Deputy Director of the Library, will delve into the life and work of Jean Paul. Highlights of the exhibition include original letters to Jewish merchant Emanuel Osmund, first editions, and graphic illustrations of his literary success. Key works on display include 'Hesperus, oder 45. Hundsposttage'. The exhibition also showcases Jean Paul's literary networks, original manuscripts, and modern book art, offering insights into his life and work around the 200th anniversary of his death.

The event is organized by the Friends of the Museums around Bamberg Cathedral, aiming to make art and culture more accessible to the community.
