Fall Festival for All: 17th Autumn Market Befalls Bremer Overseastadt, Encompassing the Shop XI Area
Get ready for a delightful day out as the 17th annual Autumn Market returns to Speicher XI in Bremen's vibrant Überseestadt on October 3rd. This much-anticipated event, held since 2007 on German Unity Day, promises an array of attractions for all ages.
Alpacas from Halsetal will be on hand, offering warm blankets, sweaters, and other accessories made from their soft, breathable natural fibers. For art enthusiasts, Bremen artist Isa Fischer will showcase her original drawings, art prints, games, notebooks, books, postcards, and calendars featuring captivating Bremen cityscapes. Duplio Verlag from Findorff will also offer products with Bremen motifs alongside Isa Fischer.
Visitors can expect a diverse selection of products, including fresh produce, plants, baked goods, cheeses, sausage and ham specialties, gourmet items like vinegars, oils, and jams. The market will also feature creative garden decorations, ceramic items, basketware, wind chimes, and jewelry made from unique materials.
For those with a sweet tooth, Doreca by Rita Tydecks will offer Swedish licorice in various shapes and flavors. The market is a veritable treasure trove of kitsch, art, and curiosities, as showcased in the image above, taken by M3B GmbH/Frank-Thomas Koch.
Thomas Ledwig, project leader for special markets in Bremen, stated that the market will cater to those who enjoy sustainable and regional products. Many products are offered directly by the producers, often organic. Visitors can refuel at the varied food and drink stalls scattered throughout the market.
