In a remarkable collaboration between two iconic Italian brands, Sonus faber and Lamborghini have unveiled the Sonus faber Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition speakers. This limited edition creation promises to deliver an unparalleled listening experience, blending high-end audio technology with Lamborghini's renowned design aesthetics.
Key Features
At the heart of these speakers lies a 30mm Diamond-Like Carbon Beryllium dome tweeter, offering exceptional microdynamics and resolution with a resonant frequency above 35kHz. The midrange is crafted from a unique blend of air-dried cellulose, Kapok, and Kenaf, providing warmth and realism to the sound. Dual 180mm woofers with Sonus faber's signature sandwich cone construction ensure deep, controlled bass with midrange coherence. Nanocarbon-fiber reinforced side-mounted infrawoofers in sealed reflex chambers extend the speakers' low-frequency output.
The speakers also boast a fully re-engineered Paracross Topology™ crossover network, utilizing premium Mundorf components, optimized for clarity, phase precision, and reduced noise floor.
The speakers' design is inspired by Lamborghini's performance-driven aesthetic. The exterior features angular five-sided cabinets with sculpted contours, finished with details in Corsa-Tex® and carbon fiber.
Specifications
The Il Cremonese Ex3me is a 3.5-way, full para-aperiodic vented box system with a frequency response of 25 Hz – 35 kHz. It has a sensitivity of 92 dB SPL (2.83 V/1 m) and a nominal impedance of 4 Ω. The recommended amplifier power ranges from 100 W – 800 W (undistorted signal). The speakers measure 57.0 × 15.6 × 24.5 inches (per speaker) and weigh approximately 185.2 lb per speaker.
Availability and Price
Only 50 numbered pairs of the Il Cremonese Ex3me speakers will be produced, each hand-made by Sonus faber. They will be available in five iconic Lamborghini finishes: Giallo Countach, Arancio Egon, Blu Marinus Matte, Verde Mercurius, and Nero Nemesis Matte. The speakers are available for order starting from 13 August 2025 via the Sonus Faber website, priced at €125,000 (approximately $130,000 USD).
Following the 2024 acquisition of the McIntosh group, Sonus faber is now part of the Bose Corporation. This collaboration with Lamborghini marks an exciting new chapter in Sonus faber's history, combining the best of both worlds to create a truly exceptional audio experience.
