Food regulatory bodies have endorsed a new plan for a uniform food labeling standard across all member states.
The city of Arnsberg is inviting residents and visitors to join a climate walk on September 17th, focusing on the critical topics of "Heat" and "Heavy Rain". This educational event, organized in collaboration with the Consumer Advice Center Arnsberg, aims to help participants understand how to protect buildings and people from the consequences of climate change.
Leading the tour will be Carsten Peters, energy advisor at the Arnsberg advice center, and Max Friedrich, the city's climate adaptation manager. Max Friedrich is responsible for creating strategies and organizing activities to address climate change impacts locally, such as forest and urban climate adaptation measures.
The climate walk is expected to last between one and a half to two hours, and no registration is required. Participants can expect to discover possibilities for their own homes or properties, as the Consumer Advice Center NRW will demonstrate concrete examples during the walk.
The tour will showcase possible and already implemented examples of climate change adaptations for homes and the municipality. It will discuss the possibilities available to citizens to react to issues related to heat and heavy rain. Interested participants can also learn how to get involved in climate change adaptation efforts themselves.
The climate walk starts at 5:30 PM at the leisure pool NASS, Am Solepark 15 in 59759 Arnsberg. For any questions, Jan Maximilian Friedrich, the climate adaptation manager of the city of Arnsberg, can be contacted at j.friedrich@ourwebsite or by phone at 02932 201 1851.
Join us on September 17th for an informative and engaging climate walk, and take the first step towards a more climate-resilient future.
