Gathering scheduled for Saturday in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky
Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is gearing up for its final spring cleanup, scheduled to take place on May 23. The citywide event is part of the spring cleanliness campaign, announced by Alexander Gvozdyev, the deputy head of the city administration.
The cleanup will involve various locations across the city, including the coastal zone of the Seroglazka microdistrict (bus stop "School No. 35"), the Poets' Square on Sovetskaya Street, Ul. Petra Ilyicheva (near houses No. 57, 63, and the slope behind house No. 2), and the ecotrail to the monument to participants in the struggle for Soviet power on Kamchatka (including slopes).
The cleanup will also extend to the Halaktyrka microdistrict and the section from the Siluet microdistrict to the TSUM (left side of the road at the 10th km). Other locations include Ul. Vatutina, 1V, Ul. Ryabikovskaya, 34B and 38, and Ul. Kurilskaya, 22, 26, 30.
Participants can expect to work using machinery and manual labor, with necessary equipment, including gloves and trash bags, provided. Those wishing to join individually can obtain equipment from the Service of Improvement at ul. Vladivostokskaya, 29. Contacts: 8 (4152) 46-81-10, 46-03-93.
The cleanup will involve contract organizations, managing companies, entrepreneurs, educational institutions, students, and schoolchildren. The cleanup will start at 11:00.
The spring cleanliness campaign began on April 18, with weekly cleanups being held as part of the preparations for the summer season. The cleanup will take place at various locations in the city, including sections along the road from No. 78 to No. 54, from No. 35 to the fork, and from the fork to No. 64.
Unfortunately, there is no information available about a spring cleanup event on May 30. The search results focus mainly on a major earthquake and tsunami warnings in the region occurring in late July 2025, not on cleanup events or municipal activities related to spring cleaning.
Volunteers can contribute to outdoor-living spaces by participating in the cleanup at Poets' Square on Sovetskaya Street or the ecotrail to the monument to participants in the struggle for Soviet power on Kamchatka, which promotes a healthy home-and-garden lifestyle. After the final spring cleanup on May 23, individuals can maintain the cleanliness of their neighborhood by using machinery and manual labor, with necessary equipment provided, as weekly cleanups continue as part of the spring cleanliness campaign preparations for the summer season.
