Google Unveils New Nest Cams, Doorbell & Home Speaker Powered by Gemini AI
Google has launched a new range of smart home devices under its Gemini for Home brand. The new Nest Cam Indoor, Nest Cam Outdoor, and Nest Doorbell are now available, priced at $99.99, $149.99, and $179.99 respectively. These devices, along with a new Google Home Speaker, integrate Google's advanced Gemini AI for enhanced functionality.
The new Nest Cams and Doorbell hit the market today, October 1, on the Google Store and major retailers. They come with several upgrades, including intelligent alerts with video previews, Home Brief for quick updates, and the ability to ask questions directly to the devices. The cameras also offer 2K HDR video with an improved aspect ratio and wider viewing angles. Notably, the Doorbell will initially be available in the U.S. and Canada, with other countries to follow.
Google has also introduced a new Google Home Speaker, set to launch in Spring 2026 for $99. This speaker features a colorful ring light and is designed for natural conversations, further integrating the Gemini AI. Additionally, Google is partnering with Walmart to bring onn Indoor Camera Wired and onn Video Doorbell Wired devices to consumers on the same day, with certain features requiring a Google Home Premium subscription.
