Green Heart Association's New Step: Local Residents Now Can Book Their "Heart Trees" in Neuss

In the heart of Neuss, Germany, an exciting new initiative is taking root - the "Heart Trees" project. This community-driven campaign invites citizens to donate funds to sponsor trees that will be planted in the future citizen park.

The Association spearheading this project, led by Co-Chair Sandra Maria Breuer and Mayor Reiner Breuer, has made it easy for citizens to participate. Interested individuals can register for tree sponsorship directly on the association's homepage at www.gruenes-herz-neuss.de or www.herzensbaum-neuss.de.

The basic price for a "Heart Tree" is 150 euros, with the option to donate more. Citizens can choose the location for their donated "Heart Tree" from a variety of options within the park. It's important to note that the donation has a symbolic and ideal character; the tree does not become the property of the donor.

This initiative is more than just a tree-planting project. It symbolizes a connection to nature, the homeland, and the city. Citizens can donate "Heart Trees" for special occasions like weddings, birthdays, or births, making them a unique and meaningful way to celebrate while contributing to the community.

Notable tree sponsors include Minister President Wuest and Prof. Rita Suessmuth. In just 48 hours after the initiative's announcement, around 120 people had registered on the interested parties list for tree sponsorship.

As a token of appreciation, donors will be recognized in some form in the park, and a digital plan will help them find their "Heart Tree". Guilds are also encouraged to have "Heart Trees" on the festival grounds, which the association is planning for the end of May, before construction work begins on the park.

Donors can sponsor multiple "Heart Trees" and direct some to social institutions and associations. All donations will benefit the new citizen park and its development.
