DIY Door Stopper

1. Equipment**

  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
  • Sewing Machine (optional)

2. Materials**

  • Small Square Brick
  • Rug Pad or Rubberized Shelving Liner
  • Felt Sheets (enough to cover your brick, plus leftover scraps)
  • Twine

3. Steps**

  1. Wrap the brick with twine, focusing on the topmost section for extra support. Strengthen the twine by using multiple strands.
  2. Construct a felt sleeve by gluing or sewing together two felt pieces.
  3. Slide the brick into the felt sleeve. Use paper to avoid snags initially, then remove it once the brick is positioned.
  4. Seal the bottom of the felt sleeve with hot glue, trimming as necessary. Let it cool and glue a rug pad to the bottom.
  5. Create two holes at the top and thread the remaining twine through for a hangy hanger. Trim the excess felt, then hot glue the top in the shape of a quirky milk carton.
  6. Knot all the ends of the twine, including those supporting the brick.
  7. Embellish with mini tassels, if desired.
