Munich, Germany - Following a crowded and questionable event last year, the owner of Parkcafé in the Old Botanical Garden has made adjustments for this year's Culture Beer Garden at the Neptune Fountain. Chris Lehner, the owner, shared that the setup has been considerably altered and that the area has been expanded.

"We've learned a lot from last year," Lehner said. "We're lined up on one side, easily visible, and have a much larger area. The stage is also positioned better. If you want to listen, you can, and if not, you can watch from a distance," he explained.

However, the opening ceremony experienced a hiccup: a saxophonist, scheduled to play on a Venetian gondola floating on the fountain, was unable to do so due to insurance concerns, forcing the performer to play on dry land instead. Additional features included food trucks, a wheel of fortune, and information stands.

Lehner revealed that there's a busy summer schedule planned for the park, incorporating various activities such as live bands, children's storytime, and possibly a large choir. He also mentioned potential Chi Gong and yoga sessions. Lehner described the atmosphere at the fountain as secure, clean, and beautiful, citing restrictions on alcohol outside of catering areas, a ban on knives, video surveillance, and patrols.

The Alter Botanischer Garten, a historically significant green space close to Karlsplatz, is known for various cultural attractions, including the Kunstpavillon art museum and Park Cafe. With its beer gardens often hosting live music, community gatherings, and cultural events, the garden near the Neptune Fountain would align with this tradition, although specific details about a dedicated Culture Beer Garden this year are not available. Traditionally known for maintaining high safety standards, Munich's public parks and beer gardens ensure public safety through measures such as well-lit pathways, regular security patrols, marked emergency exits, and adherence to food and beverage hygiene standards. During periods of construction or restoration, additional security measures are in place.

"Chris Lehner, the owner of Parkcafé, is planning a lifestyle shift for the park this summer. He intends to incorporate outdoor-living elements with home-and-garden activities, such as live bands, storytime sessions, and possibly yoga and Chi Gong classes, in the Alter Botanischer Garten."

"In addition to the busy schedule, Lehner also mentioned potential enhancements to the park's environment, aiming to foster a Secure, Clean, and Beautiful atmosphere, as part of this year's Culture Beer Garden at the Neptune Fountain."
