Kinneuchar Inn Reopens in Fife With New Team and Modern British Menu

The Kinneuchar Inn in Fife, Scotland, has reopened its doors after a two-year refurbishment, with a new team at the helm. Led by General Manager Alethea Palmer and Chef James Avery, the historic pub is now serving modern British cuisine with global influences.

The Kinneuchar Inn, a beloved community-run pub, has undergone a comprehensive renovation and is now back in business. The pub, which has been managed by Alethea Palmer for the past eight years, has been transformed into a cosy space that caters to both locals and visitors alike. The refurbishment was undertaken by Norman-Prahm Architects, giving the historic building a fresh, inviting look.

Chef James Avery, known for his innovative take on British cooking, has joined the team. Avery, who has previously worked with Angela Hartnett at The Connaught in London, brings a wealth of experience to the kitchen. The menu focuses on locally sourced ingredients from nearby Balcaskie estate and other local producers, ensuring that the dishes are not only delicious but also sustainable.

The pub is open from Tuesday evenings through to Sundays, with the restaurant serving lunches from Thursday to Saturday and dinners from Wednesday to Saturday. On Sundays, guests can enjoy a long, relaxed lunch. The inn also boasts a traditional pub area, a separate dining area for 32 covers, a private events space, and a cosy nook for drinks and bar snacks.

The Kinneuchar Inn, under the leadership of Alethea Palmer and James Avery, is set to become a popular destination for food lovers and pub enthusiasts alike. With its focus on locally sourced ingredients, modern British cooking, and a welcoming atmosphere, the inn is poised to make a significant impact on the Fife dining scene.
