Lisbon's 9th International Orchid Exhibition: A Global Blooms Spectacle
Lisbon is set to host the 9th International Orchid Exhibition from November 28 to 30 at the Santa Clara Market. Orchid enthusiasts can expect a stunning display of over 90,000 species from around the world, including rare and exotic plants from Brazil and Africa.
The Portuguese Orchid Society (APO) will offer lectures on orchid cultivation and use throughout the event. Visitors can buy orchids and other products made from them, such as liqueurs and chocolates. The exhibition will also feature displays of Bonsai, Tillandsias, bromeliads, cacti, succulents, and other tropical plants.
Plants will be judged by a panel of experts using the 'Ribbon Judging - Best In Show' model. Admission is 5 € per person, with free entry for APO members and children under 12. The exhibition will run from 10 am to 7 pm each day.
