Matthäikirchhof's layout unveiled at the courtyard showcase
The Mathäikirchhof development plans will be showcased at a public exhibition, taking place in the courtyard of the Museum of Fine Arts. This event, open to all interested citizens, is scheduled for Thursday and will run daily from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Mayor Thomas Dienberg will officially open the exhibition at 3:00 PM, marking the start of this significant event. Nine urban design proposals, submitted by various architectural studios and urban design firms, are in contention for the development of Mathäikirchhof in the city center.
Each proposal is displayed with detailed models, drawings, and concept descriptions, allowing visitors to fully understand the vision behind each design. The exhibition provides an opportunity for interested citizens to speak with the planners and architects behind the proposals, offering a chance to ask questions and share thoughts.
Visitors are encouraged to provide feedback on the urban design proposals for the Mathäikirchhof development. Comment cards are available at the exhibition space, and there is a digital kiosk where attendees can submit their opinions and suggestions electronically. Alternatively, feedback can be emailed to the Museum’s urban design department after the visit.
The collected input will be reviewed by the City Planning Office to help guide future development decisions for the Mathäikirchhof area. Guided tours are offered every Saturday at 2:00 PM during the exhibition period.
