New GM Rachelle Ungerman Brings Fresh Ideas to The Point-Perk

Rachelle Ungerman has taken the reins as the new General Manager of The Point-Perk, a coffee shop owned by The Point/Arc, a non-profit organisation in Covington. She started her role in September 2023, bringing with her experience from managing a coffee bar in Corpus Christi, Texas. Despite being unaware of The Point/Arc's mission initially, she was impressed by the organisation's services across the Tri-State area.

The Point-Perk, situated at 43 W. Pike Street, is currently running a fun promotion for March Madness. Customers who buy a drink have the chance to make a shot at a basketball hoop. If successful, they get an extra espresso shot in their drink. This interactive deal is proving popular with customers.

Last year during March Madness, Rachelle organised a unique challenge between Covington's Police and Fire Departments. A portion of the proceeds went to support these first responders, demonstrating her commitment to community engagement. Rachelle's leadership at The Point-Perk is expected to bring more such innovative ideas.
