Outdoor swimming season commences at Rheinbad under these specified terms
Summer Splashes: Dive into Düsseldorf's Pools!
Get ready to beat the heat! The much-anticipated outdoor pool season in Düsseldorf is upon us, and the Rheinbad is leading the way. But when does it open? Here's the lowdown.
Starting over the Whitsun weekend, the Rheinbad will commence its weather-dependent operation. From Saturday, June 7, the pool will alternate between indoor and outdoor, depending on the weather. Remember, it's all about the sun and temp – at least four hours of sunshine and a minimum temperature of 22 degrees are needed for the outdoor pool to open.
Last summer, this weather-dependent model was a hit, saving resources and ensuring a fantastic swimmin' experience. Achim Freund, who oversees pool operations in Düsseldorf, says, "It's a win-win – we save resources, and our guests get the best pool experience, whether indoors or outdoors!"
Stay updated on the openings by checking the Bathing Association's website starting 10 am, two days before the weekend, or give them a ring at 0211/95745 820. After 6 am daily, you can swim at the RB 50, regardless of weather conditions. But, if the outdoor pool opens, the fun moves outdoors from 8 am.
Rheinbad, Not Rhinebad, St. Johann – That's Düsseldorf's Vibe! For those seeking a head start on summer fun, the outdoor pool in Benrath has been open since May 30. New attractions abound: an outdoor fitness park, a soccer field, a playground for kids, and even a sun terrace adjacent to the saltwater pool for the indoor pool visitors.
It's pool time in Düsseldorf from 8 am to 8 pm, seven days a week, as announced by the Municipal Bathing Association.
More Pools to ExploreThe Allwetterbad Flingern kicked off the outdoor pool season in Düsseldorf on May 1, followed by the Strandbad Süd at the Unterbacher See on Labor Day. Other outdoor pools in the state capital of NRW have already welcomed swimmers in May. The popular Strandbad Nord at the Unterbacher See opened its doors on May 17 and 18, as well as on May 24 and 25.
With summer in full swing, it's time to make a splash in Düsseldorf! For more info about opening hours, visit www.baeder-duesseldorf.de.
