Peacock TV, NBCUniversal's streaming service, has announced an increase in its subscription prices effective from July 24, 2025. The changes apply to both new subscribers and existing ones from their next billing cycle on or after August 22, 2025.
The streaming platform offers two plans: 'Premium' and 'Premium Plus'. The 'Premium' plan, which includes ads, has increased from $7.99 to $10.99 monthly, while the 'Premium Plus' plan, which is mostly ad-free, has gone up from $13.99 to $16.99 monthly.
Annual subscriptions have followed a similar pattern, with the 'Premium' plan costing $109.99 and the 'Premium Plus' plan costing $169.99 per year.
The 'Premium' plan provides access to over 80,000 hours of movies and TV shows, including Peacock Originals such as Lockerbie: A Search for the Truth and Poker Face. It includes ads, with up to five minutes of commercials every hour.
On the other hand, the 'Premium Plus' plan, priced at $169.99 annually, offers an ad-free experience, except for live channels, sports, and events. It also includes offline viewing and access to the local NBC channel live, 24/7.
It's worth noting that Peacock TV has raised its subscription prices three times since its launch in 2020. Despite the price hike, the service's ad-free subscription price is comparable to that of Apple TV, Paramount, Disney, HBO Max, Netflix, and Hulu.
In addition to the subscription plans, Peacock offers a vast library of content, including movies, TV shows, live sports, news, and NBC content. Some horror gems with 85% or higher on Rotten Tomatoes can be found on the platform, along with iconic shows like Real Housewives and Parks and Recreation.
Three Oscar-nominated movies are available to exclusively stream on Peacock: Wicked, Conclave, and The Wild Robot. The service also offers live TV channels, live sports, news, and NBC content, making it a one-stop destination for entertainment.
However, Peacock does not offer a free subscription plan. The cheapest way to get a Peacock subscription is by purchasing the annual 'Premium' plan, which costs $109.99.
