The new appearance features the city's slogan "For you. For Detmold" and the Detmold skyline, aiming to create a sense of familiarity and pride among the city's residents. This update is part of the administration's ongoing effort to make municipal facilities visually recognisable.
The updated Citizen Advisory Office is not just about aesthetics. It also comes with improved digital services and an appointment-free Wednesday, making city services more citizen-friendly and unbureaucratic. Digital appointment scheduling is available, ensuring smooth operation on-site.
Britta Contursi, the team leader in the Citizen Advisory Office, is pleased with the new, inviting appearance of the office. She and her colleagues advise hundreds of citizens daily on various issues, including applying for personal documents. The updated office may attract more residents to utilise the city's services online.
More services, such as applying for a resident parking permit, registration certificate, and registering a place of residence, can now be done online via the city's website. Accessing these online services is straightforward via the "service portal" page.
The introduction of an appointment-free Wednesday since May 2024 has received positive feedback from Detmold residents. Urgent matters can be resolved on the same day during this time. This initiative, along with the updated Citizen Advisory Office, is part of the city's ongoing efforts to improve accessibility and convenience for its residents.
