On July 28, 2025, JobRad GmbH will launch a bicycle collection campaign in Freiburg, Germany. This initiative aims to promote sustainable mobility and provide access to bicycles for children and young people.

The campaign welcomes all types of bikes, except for scooters, rollerblades, trailers, and accessories. Donated bikes not suitable for local use will be repaired by the social enterprise Velafrica and exported to East and West Africa, contributing to making education, healthcare, and jobs more accessible in these regions.

Locally, donated children's and youth bikes will be refurbished and redistributed by the Freiburg-Müllheim Traffic Safety Association, helping improve the situation for children and young people without their own bike.

As a token of appreciation, donors will receive attractive prizes. These prizes include mini bike tools, water bottles, or repair vouchers, but their exact value or quantity remains undisclosed. It's important to note that these prizes are subject to availability and do not specify any conditions or requirements for receiving them.

The collection will take place at the JobRad Campus (Heinrich-von-Stephan-Straße 13) from 10 am to 6 pm. However, details about the season-opening game of SC Freiburg, which some prizes might include, are not available at this time.

JobRad's goal with this action is to set an example for sustainable mobility and make it easier for children and young people to access a bicycle. For the latest information about the campaign, including any updates on prizes, it's advisable to contact JobRad GmbH or their official channels directly.

This bicycle collection campaign is a collaborative effort, but no other organizations involved or sponsors/partners associated with the prizes have been mentioned at this time.
