Revisiting the private sanctuary of filmmaker David Leitch, director of the acclaimed 'Fall Guy', offers a glimpse into his resplendent Los Angeles residence.

In the heart of the Hollywood Hills, a 4,500 sq. ft. residence once home to '30s and '40s starlet Wynne Gibson, has undergone a stunning transformation. The home now belongs to David Leitch and his wife, Kelly McCormick, who, alongside their production company 87 North Productions, have made their mark in the film industry.

Los Angeles-based designer Vanessa Alexander was hired to redesign the home's interiors, injecting subdued tones of red, sage, blue, and green to accentuate the residence's ethereal California light. The sitting room features beautifully-carved original beams, a custom sofa, an intricate Philip and Kelvin LaVerne coffee table, and the original fireplace. Glazed doors were installed to a terrace, bringing hillside vistas inside.

Outside, the home features widened terraces, an outdoor kitchen, a fire pit, and numerous sitting areas, creating an inviting space for entertaining. The kitchen and bathrooms received an elegant palette of stone and Moroccan tile, while glamorous touches, such as a gleaming custom brass handrail on the staircase, were incorporated into the home's design.

Statement light fixtures, like a dramatic chandelier from Blackman Cruz in the entry, were added to nod to the home's Hollywood pedigree. The bedrooms were reworked to create more generous spaces for Leitch and McCormick, with the addition of three larger bedrooms, including a bright primary suite.

The home's renovation was necessary to accommodate Leitch and McCormick's busy movie-making careers and lifestyle. However, their dream home was put on hold after the 2019 Getty Fire destroyed their hillside midcentury home in Brentwood.

Before his success in Hollywood, Leitch, an aspiring stuntman, lived in a residence known as 'The Stunt House' in Redondo Beach, where he and his roommates practiced falling for four years. Leitch got his first major break as a stunt double for Brad Pitt in Fight Club. Over the next 20 years, he worked as a stunt performer for stars like Matt Damon, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Pitt.

For the last decade, Leitch has been a director and producer, directing films like John Wick, Atomic Blonde, Deadpool II, Bullet Train, and Fall Guy. Leitch and McCormick run 87 North Productions together. While detailed information about their home design or renovation process is not publicly available, it is clear that their personal residence reflects their style and taste, just as their films captivate audiences worldwide.
