The scenes unfolding on this magical weekend include a grand reception at the Schwerin main station, a courtly stroll through the city's heart, and historical dances under the sun in the Innenhof (courtyard).
"The breathtaking journey here finds its roots in countless hours spent researching, sewing, dancing, and rehearsing by our dedicated work groups," says program curator Manuela Weiland of the Castle Association in a statement.
The extravaganza begins on Friday evening with the much-anticipated light and laser show, ‘Son et Lumière,’ which will be staged again on Saturday night. The following day, the state parliament invites one and all to a tour-de-force ‘Open Day’ at the castle, where numerous rooms and buildings will be unlocked for the public to explore.
