Social cohesion, credited to diverse cultures, recognized and appreciated by Freising city.

In the heart of Freising, the city's cultural scene came together for a memorable evening at the Asam. Mayor Tobias Eschenbacher hosted the event, expressing his gratitude to the city's cultural associations for their significant contributions to Freising's vibrant cultural life.

The cultural reception, held on a Friday, aimed to foster networking, stimulate conversation, and create new connections within the cultural community. The social gathering allowed new and old acquaintances from the cultural scene to enjoy Freising's newly renovated city centre well into the night.

Mayor Eschenbacher, in his final speech as mayor, highlighted the importance of culture in fostering cohesion, creating identity, and making a social contribution. He also acknowledged the success of last year's city anniversary, during which cultural offerings took centre stage.

The evening's programme was a testament to this, featuring a diverse array of performances and exhibitions. One of the highlights was the Moosacher Mix of the music school, who entertained the guests with their captivating performance.

A significant moment of the evening was the introduction of Eva Willberg as the new director of the city museum. Willberg, who has been working at the museum since 2008, opened the museum for the reception guests. The foyer of the Asam was filled with people before the official speeches began, eager to explore the exhibits and engage with their fellow cultural enthusiasts.

The 1300, a reference to Freising's anniversary year, was still present and appreciated at the reception. The guests applauded spontaneously for Mayor Eschenbacher's comment about the 1300, recognising the lasting impact of Freising's city anniversary on its cultural life.

The cultural reception has left a lasting impression on Freising's cultural scene, with its vast programme permanently enriching the city's cultural life. As the city continues to celebrate its rich cultural heritage, events like this serve as a reminder of the importance of collaboration and celebration within the cultural community.

The cultural reception not only showcased Freising's vibrant cultural life but also demonstrated its impact on the city's lifestyle, as evidenced by the home-and-garden exhibits in the newly renovated city center that added to the ambiance of the evening. As the new director of the city museum, Eva Willberg, showcased the museum's offerings, she gave a glimpse into the home-and-garden aspects of Freising's past, enriching the attendees' understanding of the city's cultural identity.
