The city of Arnsberg is hosting the exhibition "Sublimity" as part of the KulturSommer Arnsberg, a cultural summer event. The exhibition is located at Kloster Wedinghausen, Klosterstraße 11, and runs until 24 August 2025.

Helga Weihs, a renowned Cologne artist, is showcasing her sculptural work in this exhibition. "Sublimity" features sculptures by Helga Weihs in dialogue with works from the Schroth Collection. The Schroth Collection includes works by Antje Blumenstein, Hartmut Böhm, Jean-François Dubreuil, Leo Erb, Lies Kraal, Mike Meiré, Vera Molnar, Dirk Richter, Heiner Thiel, and Victor Vasarely.

Visitors aged 18 and above can enjoy the exhibition for €3, while admission including a guided tour is €5. Two additional guided tours by collector Carl-Jürgen Schroth are offered: one on Sunday, 3 August and another on Wednesday, 20 August. Each tour lasts approximately 60 minutes.

A dialogical interplay of closed and transparent, surface and space takes place within the thematic complex of abstract and conceptual art. The dialogical interplay of the sculptures and two-dimensional pictorial works from the Schroth Collection creates a play of form between sculptural space-occupying plasticity and the planar, illusionistic pictorial construction.

For those interested in a guided tour, one is available on Wednesday, 6 August at 3 pm, led by curator Kathrin Brandt. Registration for the guided tours can be made via email at [email protected].

The exhibition is part of the Hellweg Konkret III series, a collaboration of nine partners, which started in 2024 and includes exhibitions at ten locations and art in public spaces. The series concludes in Arnsberg at the Kloster Wedinghausen exhibition area.

For updated details on tours, special events, or partnerships linked to the exhibition, it would be advisable to consult the venue hosting the event in Arnsberg directly or visit official local cultural websites or tourism portals.

The exhibition is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4 to 7 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 5 pm. Don't miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in the captivating world of Helga Weihs' sculptures.
