City of Lünen to Reposition City Furniture in Münsterstraße Section
The city of Lünen is set to reposition its future mobility network's city furniture in the Münsterstraße section, between Persiluhr and Kurt-Schumacher-Straße, on September 8, 2025. This decision follows positive feedback from the initial temporary redesign in the summer of 2023.

The city furniture being used in the installation is part of the Zukunftsnetz Mobilität NRW. This furniture was well received during the temporary "Stadtexperiment" in the Münsterstraße section in the summer of 2023.
During the installation period, access to the Münsterstraße section will only be possible via Kurt-Schumacher-Straße. Deliveries and exceptional cases may access the area with a borrowed three-point key.
Along with the city furniture, a traffic barrier will also be installed. The temporary barrier for through traffic is being installed as part of the repositioning of the city furniture.
The city furniture repositioning is not the only change happening in September. From September 10 to October 22, 2025, a city furniture installation, along with a traffic barrier, will take place at the Persiluhr tree locations.

The repositioning of the city furniture in the Münsterstraße section is happening on September 8, 2025. The city furniture of the Zukunftsnetz Mobilität NRW is being used again in the redesign, following the positive feedback from the initial temporary redesign in the summer of 2023.
