In the ever-evolving world of fashion, one brand is making waves by prioritising health and environmental sustainability - Tripulse.

Their next-gen sports bra, available for pre-order on Kickstarter, is designed to be used multiple times before washing, saving valuable water and energy. But Tripulse's commitment to sustainability goes beyond just conserving resources.

Microplastics, tiny pieces of plastic polluting our environment, have infiltrated various parts of the ecosystem, including human breast milk and unborn placentas. These microplastics, often shed by synthetic activewear during wear and washing, are causing harm to marine life and potentially humans.

Tripulse tackles this issue by avoiding or minimising synthetic fibres, sometimes integrating circular or recycled materials to close the loop in production and consumption.

Moreover, conventional sportswear is often made with toxic chemicals like bisphenol A (BPA), which can interfere with the normal functioning of the body. Tripulse, however, uses Roica® V550, a sustainable version of conventional elastane, and ensures all dyes and finishings are free from toxic chemicals.

The brand also emphasises the use of non-toxic, chemical-free materials to eliminate exposure to harmful substances like BPA and phthalates, promoting health safety for wearers. They prioritise organic, natural, and potentially plant-based fibres or bio-synthetics that reduce reliance on petroleum, lower carbon footprints, and offer better end-of-life biodegradability compared to conventional synthetics.

Tripulse's suppliers and manufacturers in Portugal are GOTS certified, ensuring regular third-party audits for transparency and eco-conscious practices. They advocate avoiding harmful substances that could impact people's and the planet's health, and they are committed to fair and safe working conditions. In fact, 99.5% of Tripulse's supply chain is based in the EU, where labour standards are higher and more regulated than many Asian countries.

Sustainability is a key priority for Tripulse, being part of their DNA. They advocate transparency in the supply chain, ensuring suppliers adhere to ILO standards, eliminating forced and child labour. They have also achieved carbon neutrality and launched a ZeroWaste initiative.

The Tripulse next gen sports bra is made from a special composition of premium and certified wood fibre TENCEL™ Lyocell, which is naturally antibacterial and odour resistant. This sustainable and compostable material is also used in their sports bras, leggings, and workout shirts.

It's worth noting that the fashion industry is the second-highest risk category for modern-day slavery, and 93% of mainstream fashion brands do not pay garment workers a living wage. Tripulse's commitment to fair labour practices sets them apart, ensuring they only work with suppliers that have confirmed their compliance with ILO standards.

In a world where synthetic activewear poses significant health and environmental risks, Tripulse's sustainable activewear brand offers a refreshing alternative. With a holistic approach, considering health and environment at every step of the process, Tripulse is paving the way for a more sustainable future in the fashion industry.
