The enchanting garden within the OWL Patchwork family in Gütersloh crafts an idyllic garden oasis, complete with a swimming pool.

In the picturesque town of Rietberg, Germany, the Rietberger family's garden has undergone a remarkable transformation, turning it into an idyllic, structured space reminiscent of the countryside. The creative mind behind this transformation is Sina Corsmeyer-Quibeldey, a 39-year-old mother of four.

Previously, the garden was a wild, shaded expanse, dominated by old trees. But Sina's love for gardening and her knack for DIY projects have breathed new life into the space. She has framed the front part of the pool with dark green vines, installed a rose arch adorned with pink English rambler roses, and even protected her precious plants with chicken wire against mice, who seemed to have a fondness for visiting.

The garden now boasts a playhouse with a slide, a sandbox with a play kitchen, and a wooden horse, making it a haven for the family's children. Sina's favourite flowers, black-eyed Susans and hydrangeas, in pink or white, add a splash of colour to the garden's country-style charm.

One of the most popular spots in the garden is the "chill corner", where two loungers invite relaxation. Here, one can enjoy the fruits of Sina's labour, as the garden now yields cucumbers, tomatoes, herbs, and strawberries in its raised beds. Fruit trees, including apples and plums, provide regular harvests for the family.

The Rietberger family's garden has been selected as one of the 14 most exciting gardens in a competition for the "most beautiful garden in OWL". Online voting for the competition will take place on the digital theme page in the first week of September. The family's dream is to install an inground pool in their garden, which they hope will further enhance the garden's appeal.

For those inspired by Sina's DIY projects and seeking creative ideas for their own gardens, general DIY websites and craft tutorial platforms offer practical guides and inspiration. WonderHowTo, for instance, provides a variety of fun DIY craft tutorials suitable for all ages and skill levels. Instagram reels and posts also showcase creative garden decoration ideas, though none specifically for the Rietberger garden have been found.

Exploring gardening blogs, Pinterest, and family-friendly craft sites specialized in outdoor living may offer richer content tailored to garden spaces. While these resources do not directly provide targeted sources for the Rietberger family garden DIYs, they serve as a wealth of creative inspiration for decorative DIY projects.

The Rietberger family's transformed garden, now a structured and idyllic space, displays elements of outdoor-living and home-and-garden, with Sina's DIY projects incorporating dark green vines, rose arches, and chicken wire. Moreover, this family-friendly garden features a playhouse, sandbox, and vegetable-filled raised beds, making it a perfect setting for their lifestyle of gardening.
