No.81, originally a pub building, now houses the Bottle Boy Pub, a barber shop, and seven townhouse style suites and bedrooms. No.82, originally a cattle and timber warehouse, now houses 87 bedrooms and suites of various types, totaling 94 in all.
The hotel's design-led interior features artwork from emerging Irish talent, creating a distinctive atmosphere that reflects the city's vibrant culture. The Mayson rooms offer luxury amenities such as rainfall power showers, premium toiletries, Netflix enabled TVs, Marshall Amps, Smeg fridges, Dyson Hair dryers, Mayson Munchie Trays, and more, ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The Mayson is not just a hotel; it's a destination. It houses several establishments including The Bottle Boy Pub, The Green Dolphin, The Mayson Bar, DIME Coffee, Ryleigh's Rooftop Restaurant, and The Timberyard event space.
During the renovation process, several companies played crucial roles. Premier League, a specialist in passive and structural fire protection, acoustic solutions, and intumescent paint, worked on the project, providing intumescent spraying of all skeletal steel and fireproofing of all interior walls, floors, and ceilings. Clear lines of communication between the contractor and client were considered paramount by Premier League to ensure a smooth project handover.
Premier League was formed in 2017 by business partners Paul McGahan and Vasile Claihnet and caters to the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. Paul McGahan, co-founder of Premier League, expressed enjoyment in working with Press-up, Oakmont, and Pure Fitout on The Mayson project.
