Trainees in Solingen undergo instruction for 18 fresh prospects in the field of transportation cadets.
Traffic Cadets of Solingen Shine in Real-World Training
The Traffic Cadets of Traffic Watch Solingen e.V. have demonstrated their skills assessment in traffic control after completing a comprehensive three-week training course. The training, held at the school center Vogelsang, covered various topics including traffic regulations, traffic signs, road rules, and soft skills for traffic control, securing accident and hazard sites, and closing off streets.
The training sessions were guided by Wolfgang Goeken, and the old and new cadets also participated in "Cadets Current" for further training on 25.02. This included exercises on accident site securing, braking and reaction distances, and communication training.
The Traffic Cadets, identifiable by their distinctive orange uniforms, have already been involved in successful deployments. On 12.02, they contributed significantly to the smooth running of the Rosenmontag parade in Solingen. Just a day earlier, on 11.02, they supported in Düsseldorf-Unterbach.
The police and 1st Chairman of Traffic Watch Solingen, Ullrich Schmidt, praised the Traffic Cadets for their performance during the training. The results of the tests in the training are still pending for the Traffic Cadets.
Upon completion of the training, the Traffic Cadets received their uniforms and remain optimistic about their future, hoping to soon officially become a part of the Traffic Cadets family.
The Traffic Cadets actively support the police, local authorities, and private event organizers. They recently demonstrated their skills at a real intersection under the guidance of Wolfgang Goeken.
It is important to note that the names of the three police officers present in connection with the training of Verkehrsschützen e.V. Solingen are not publicly available.
The training course consisted of six weekend seminars, providing the cadets with a comprehensive understanding of their roles and responsibilities in ensuring traffic safety. As the Traffic Cadets continue to grow and develop, they are sure to play an increasingly important role in maintaining the safety and order on Solingen's roads.
