Tree planting initiative in Schiefbahn moves forward to subsequent phase
In the picturesque city of Schiefbahn, a community-led tree planting initiative is underway and gaining momentum. Originally planned to plant two trees, the project has now grown to include six new trees across the city.
The dedicated team of tree enthusiasts, comprising Wulf Wasseige, Christoph Hoffacker, and Dominik Stahl, have carefully selected sites for the new greenery. Two field maples will be planted in Tupsheide, two columnar birches on Hch Street, and two globe locusts at Königsheide.
The primary objective of this initiative is to make Schiefbahn more climate-friendly and increase its citizens' greenery. The tree planting action is not just about adding trees to the cityscape; it's a community effort aimed at making a positive impact on the city's climate and creating a livable environment for its citizens.
Sebastian Otterbein, from the city of Willich, has confirmed six new tree planting sites within the city limits. This expansion of the initiative is a testament to the growing enthusiasm among citizens for this greening project.
The success of the tree planting action relies heavily on citizens' participation. Every donation, no matter how small, helps to further the cause. Donors supporting the city district's greening project include the Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz, which contributed 60,000 euros in the first construction phase.
Dominik Stahl, a key member of the tree planting team, expressed gratitude for every support received. He emphasized that every donation brings Schiefbahn one step closer to a greener future. He also added that donation receipts are now available for supporters of the tree planting action.
As the fall season approaches, many citizens are hoped to be enthusiastic about this community-led initiative. The goal is to make Schiefbahn greener with the help of its citizens, fostering a sense of unity and shared responsibility for the city's environment.
The tree planting action is planned for the fall season, and the team is looking forward to seeing the community come together to make a difference in their city. With the support of citizens, Schiefbahn is on its way to becoming a greener, more climate-friendly city.
