United Airlines introduces fresh amenity kits and sleepwear in partnership with Wrexham AFC
Strutting their stuff high up in the sky this summer, United Airlines and Wrexham AFC have teamed up to bring some soccer flair to your Polaris and Premium Plus seats.
In a move that'll have enthusiasts hooting with delight, the Chicago-based carrier and the cult-favorite soccer club have collaborated on limited-edition amenity kits and pajamas in a bold Wrexham design. Starting June 1, these goodies will be available across United's long-haul network.
Business class travelers will love the new Wrexham AFC amenity case adorned with the team's crest – it comes in red, black, or white. Peeking inside, you'll find all the usual necessities, plus travel essentials like a bamboo toothbrush, tissues, and socks. (No need to worry; none of those will be missing from the kit.)
Premium Plus passengers can also get their hands on a new 'amenity pouch' emblazoned with the Wrexham crest (in red, black, or white, of course). Just like United's historical offerings, the Premium Plus kits will contain all the standard amenities.
To top it all off, United will debut unisex pajamas on flights lasting over 14 hours. These jersey-like garb features the Wrexham AFC and United logos, giving you a chance to support the team from 30,000 feet.

This fresh partnership comes just seven months after United unveiled a Polaris experience overhaul, which includes revamped Saks Fifth Avenue bedding, Therabody amenities, and more. The partnership with Saks and Therabody still stands, with only the exterior of the amenity kits getting a revamp. In the coming weeks, the limited-edition Claude Kameni day blanket will also make way for a standard-issue Saks day blanket.
Wrexham's inclusion in the partnership might seem like a puzzling move if you're not hip to the team's story. However, if you're following their journey, you'll be reasons galore to score one of these kits.
United first partnered with Wrexham in 2023 as their shirt sponsor, with the airline's logo emblazoned on the front of Wrexham's jerseys. The team, once a small-time contender, has surged in popularity and name recognition, in large part due to its ownership by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. In January 2022, the team was promoted to League One, the third of four tiers in the English Football League system. This partnership with United is just another step in Wrexham's transformation from underdog to major player.
When Wrexham AFC launched new jerseys at the start of the 2022 season, they sold out in minutes. The ensuing secondary market saw prices skyrocket for those jerseys initially purchased.
According to Peter Wolkowski, United's director of onboard product design, the Wrexham tie-in was a fantastic idea, and it certainly seems to be resonating. The demand for such exclusive merchandise is high, and these premium products won't disappoint.
Airlines like American Airlines and JetBlue Airways have also recently unveiled upgrades to their soft product (the part of the experience that isn't physically affixed to the plane). With premium travel demand soaring, airlines will go to great lengths to lure flyers and make their journey more enjoyable.
