Waldkicker & Every Plug Counts! Engage Youth in Environmental Protection

The 'Waldkicker' project, a unique initiative combining youth football and environmental protection, is seeking 50 teams from across Germany. Meanwhile, the city of Brandenburg an der Havel is supporting the 'Every Plug Counts!' campaign to promote correct disposal of old electronics.

The 'Waldkicker' project, aiming to engage young footballers in environmental conservation, is inviting U7 to U10 teams to participate in various eco-friendly activities. Teams can earn points by planting trees, collecting litter, carpooling, and visiting nature conservation centers. SV Empor Brandenburg's U9 team is among the participants this season.

The 'Every Plug Counts!' campaign, running during action weeks, encourages proper disposal of old electrical devices. Residents can recycle small electrical appliances at various collection points like drugstores, hardware stores, and recycling centers. The hotline (03381) 323737 is available for more information. SV Empor Brandenburg's E-Juniors are supporting this initiative in the 2024/25 season. The city's homepage and information materials provide details about return points and action weeks.

The 'Waldkicker' project and the 'Every Plug Counts!' campaign are working together to engage youth and promote environmental awareness. By participating, young footballers and residents can contribute to protecting the environment while learning about the importance of correct waste disposal.
