Water as a Focal Point: Statement-Making Display of Water at the 2025 Wine Festival
2025 Weinwoche Glass Design Unveiled
ESWE Supply has revealed the design for the 2025 Weinwoche glass, marking a significant milestone with a focus on water. In a record-breaking year, 127 designs were submitted to the traditional competition, showcasing an increased interest in the project's core mission: highlighting the importance of water.
The jury, led by CEO Ralf Schodlok, gathered in Wiesbaden to discuss and deliberate over the submissions. Schodlok, who is retiring after this session, expressed his satisfaction with the record participation and the association's continual resonance with the public.
"I could sense the people's identification with our water stand," Schodlok stated, adding that the glass is more than just a drinking container; it's a place for leisure and reflection.
The winning design by Mirjam Poenisch features a stylized woman moved by the wind, holding a glass of water, accompanied by the slogan "It's Time for ZwiWa - Between Water." The design emphasizes enjoyment and pausing, perfect for sipping water between wine glasses or encounters at the festival.
Second place went to Sinah Hasselbach for her whale design with Wiesbaden landmarks, a playful representation of the city's diversity, and third place was awarded to Birgit Breuninger for her vibrant depiction of people celebrating the 30th anniversary of the ESWE water stand.
The 2025 Weinwoche glass will be available from August 8 at the ESWE Supply stand, with a minimum donation of €1 to support the Stroke Initiative Wiesbaden/Rheingau-Taunus. Given the popularity of the limited-edition glasses, early arrival is recommended to secure one of the 6000 available units and memorialize a cherished festival moment "between the wines."
