Winners of the 2024 Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) have been declared
2024 Architecture MasterPrize Awards Celebrate Global Design Excellence
The Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) has announced the winners of its 2024 awards, honouring exceptional design talent from around the world. The awards ceremony, which will take place at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao on November 18, 2024, will celebrate the achievements of architects, designers, and photographers from various countries.
In the Cultural Architecture category, the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art by Renzo Piano Building Workshop and The New Museum of Ethnography, Budapest by NAPUR Architect Ltd. were both recognised for their innovative designs. The Architectural Design of the Year award went to the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center by Rockwell Group.
The Landscape Architecture of the Year award was presented to Qin Lake Park: From Culture to Nature by Grasp Earth Architecture & Landscape Design Co., Ltd. and the Landscape Architecture Firm of the Year was given to James Corner Field Operations. The Interior Design of the Year award was given to Nobu by Cuaik CDS, and Omar Gandhi Architects were named the Interior Design Firm of the Year.
In the Residential Architecture category, CANVAS HOUSE by PARTISANS and The Ravine by A Work of Substance were both winners. The award for the Hospitality Architecture category was given to Lakeside Teahouse by Domain Architects.
The Social Impact Project of the Year award was presented to 54 Social Housing in Inca, Mallorca, Balearic Islands by Fortuny-Alventosa, Morell Arquitectes (F-AM Arquitectes). This new award, introduced for the first time in AMP's history, recognises projects that have a significant positive impact on society.
Other notable winners include DNA PARIS for MOON HOUSE, Fawkner House, and several innovative projects by OSD focused on educational and urban design. Franco Casaccia (Argentina) won the Interior Architecture Photographer of the Year award, and Albrecht Voss (Germany) won the Exterior Architecture Photographer of the Year award.
MykoFoam by Mykor (UK) won the Product Design of the Year award, and Dominique Coulon & Associés (France) was named Architecture Firm of the Year. The MPavilion 10 by Tadao Ando won in the category of Small Architecture.
