Winter Essentials: Curated Collection of Cozy Capsule Outfits

In the approaching winter season, the author is excited to reveal their carefully curated winter wardrobe. After four previous capsule wardrobe endeavors, the author has a better understanding of their personal style and has designed this season's collection with major comfort in mind.

The author's winter wardrobe consists of a mix of essential pieces, including graphic tees, white tanks, classic button-ups, slouchy sweaters, and midi dresses. Some items, such as the author's favourite graphic tee, chambray shirt, and distressed denim, have been carried over from their fall capsule or storage. The author's sherpa jacket, a gift from their family, adds a cosy touch to the collection.

The author's wardrobe also includes a variety of outerwear options, such as wrap coats, white sweaters, a sherpa jacket, sweatshirts, cocoon cardigans, and a puffer jacket. For a more edgy look, there are leather jackets, cowboy boots, and Vans high tops. Comfortable footwear is a priority, with dress boots, cutout booties, wedge booties, cognac booties, and shearling farm boots completing the ensemble.

The author's budget for this winter capsule wardrobe was $250, with half of it allocated for the cowboy boots. The author managed to buy 8 new pieces and received one as a gift, keeping the remaining 7 pieces within a budget of about $125 by relying on discounts. This brings the average cost for the winter wardrobe shopping to about $83 per month. The author completed their shopping in just two outings, prioritising rest during December and minimising time spent shopping.

Despite the perceived boring nature of the wardrobe design due to self-imposed pressure for variety and colour, the author is content with their choices. They feel that this process of putting together a winter capsule wardrobe is a reflection of their changing self and a testament to their growth.

The author will be sharing more about their new wardrobe pieces over the coming season, inviting readers to join them on this journey of self-discovery and style evolution.
