Witness instances of woman abuse and online experiments
Attention, Peeps! Check Out Düsseldorf's Sustainable Design Spectacle!
Get ready to be mesmerized by a symphony of nature, technology, and human connection at Düsseldorf's "New Design from Düsseldorf" exhibit! Nestled in the NRW-Forum from now through June 10, this showcase presents an astounding 70 creative masterpieces from the design department of Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences.
Tino Spieker (27) and Kimberly Fischer (30) of the "Shop Retail Design" program deliver a standout piece with their natural installation, "The Invisible Power of Interaction." A metal vessel heats up a container holding porous stone and green coating, releasing moisture in little droplets that fall into a vessel. This poetic creation explores the interactions between humans, nature, and the environment.

Stepping into the exhibition, you'll be greeted by a rich tapestry of artistic integrity, intellectual depth, and diverse genres. From painting and sculpture to installations and sophisticated experiments, the students - mostly aged 22-30 - delve into a world of creativity and provocation.
One memorable work is Charlotte Roos (26) poster wall, adorned with bright pop colors, streaming questions in multiple languages. Her goal? A society where everyone can live and work equally, free from prejudice and oppression.
Meanwhile, Eli Alaimo Di Loro challenges societal norms through her "Pronoun Round," playing with various gender-specific speech cards. Kathrin Senff from Cologne targets body images and their impact on societal roles in her provocative self-portraits.

Laura Sistig (28) unfurls the harsh realities of violence against women in her large, bold illustrations. With striking visuals such as a 'digital stalker' wreaking havoc on a home laptop, or secret recordings of sexual acts posted online, Sistig's "Hatred Behind Glass" reveals a politically charged reality but does so with neither rancor nor rancor.
In stark contrast, Leonard Mann's photographs of "Dancing Stallions" showcase a young rider in an adrenaline-fueled dance with wild stallions in the Israeli desert.
With this year's design presentation, you can expect a multifaceted exploration of talent and the understanding of design not just as a technology-oriented craft but as an art form. It's a pity that this exhibition is only on display until Pentecost Tuesday. To ensure you don't miss out, drop by the NRW-Forum, Düsseldorf Ehrenhof, between 11:00 and 18:00 daily (including Monday), and grab a catalog for 25 euros. Be a part of the revolution in art, design, and sustainability!
